Browse the internet using USB tethering but USB data cable is involved

Most times, we might not really have the basic requirements to browse on the PC which might include the modern or WIFI-hotspot which could be found on any android device. The USB lathering can also be found on any android device, majority of those using android devices today believe more, that the need and purpose of an android device should be only for calls, taking pictures and Whatsapp messaging.

Connecting through the tethering from the android device to the PC ensures sharing of cellular data and charges might be incurred in the process.

However, the process includes this few steps below;

  • Getting a data transferable cable (A cable that can read through the android device and the PC)
  • When plugged to the PC from the android device, a popup auto installation process takes place on the computer, this is to enable the PC recognize the android device through the connected cable.
  • Go through the setting of the android device and select USB tethering Network/sharing
  • Tick the radio button and enjoy faster browsing

The other device should instantly recognize the phone as a “modem” with Internet access. Further configuration may be required, which depends on the computer using the tethered connection.

For example, you may have to accept the installation of new software when prompted by Windows.

When tethering is active, a Tethering or Hotspot Active notification icon appears. Choose that notification to further configure tethering.

Unlike creating a Wi-Fi hotspot, you don’t need to disable the Wi-Fi radio to activate USB tethering.

Sharing the digital network connection incurs data usage charges against your cellular data plan. Be careful with your data usage when you’re sharing a connection.
