Secret of How to be Shortlisted Into The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) For 2018/2019 Regular Course

The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna offers a regular to course to student who qualifies the entrance based on merit.

Only the candidates who score a minimum of 180 for the faculty of Arts and social science, Science and Military science and Interdisciplinary studies, and 210 for faculty of Engineering in the JAMB 2018 examination shall be offered an admission into NDA by AFSB. The only thing which will consider the admission in the NDA will be the 2018 Registration number and the JAMB results of the candidate.

The Academy requires a set of abilities in the applicant to be fulfilled for being eligible to apply:

  • A minimum of 5 credit passes at SSCE (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB) or GEC ‘O’ Level acquired in not more than 2 sittings, which is relevant to their specific faculty choices.
  • A Credit in English language and Mathematics.
  • A minimum of two supporting relevant credits to the necessary credits in Faculty of Military Sciences and Interdisciplinary Studies, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and Faculty of Sciences as shown in columns on the compulsory and relevant credits. Also, only one supporting credit is required in the faculty of engineering.
  • The minimum age required for entry in the Academy is 17 and the candidate must not be more than 21 years old.
  • The height of the applicant must not be less than 1.68 meters in height for men and not less than 1.58 meters in case of females.
  • The applicant is required to be physically as well as mentally sound in order to be eligible.
  • The candidate should be a single male or a single female and must not be under any legal obligation to support a child.

To fill out the application forms, the willing student needs to visit the application portal on the official website. Applications must be submitted online once it is completed. On the completion of the application from, candidates need to download an Acknowledgement form from the website. Once the results of the Jamb examination are declared, the candidates are advised to revisit the application portal and download their respective Examination Admission Cards. Only those individuals who clear the cut-off in the JAMB will be allowed to appear in the NDA examinations.
